Window-Management Objects
The following are the securable window-management objects.
Securable Object
| Description
| Window station
| An object that contains a clipboard, a set of global atoms, and a group of
desktop objects. The interactive window station assigned to the logon session of
the interactive user also contains the display device, keyboard, and mouse.
Window stations provide the first level of security for a work station and are the
source of inheritable security for desktop objects.
| Desktop
| An object that has a display surface and contains windows, menus, and hooks. A
desktop object is a subobject of a window-station object, from which it
inherits security.
